Liverpool are reportedly showing "concrete interest" in Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush after his impressive start to the season.
Marmoush has been in sensational form, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists in just 12 Bundesliga matches this season. His impressive stats have made him one of Europe’s top performers, with an average of a goal or assist every 50.4 minutes. No player in Europe's top five leagues has more goal involvements so far this season.
Sky Germany reports that Frankfurt is eager to extend Marmoush’s contract, but they face a challenge in keeping him, given the growing interest from top European clubs.
The 25-year-old, who joined Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg in 2023, is under contract until 2027. However, Liverpool’s interest in the forward comes amid uncertainty over Mohamed Salah's future at Anfield. Salah, 32, is out of contract in the summer, and there has been no progress on a new deal, despite his desire to stay at the club.
Marmoush is seen as a potential replacement for Salah, though Liverpool will face competition for his signature. Bayern Munich and Manchester United are also reportedly keeping an eye on the forward’s situation at Frankfurt.
